   Double the line

   Make a bight long enough to pass through the knot twice.

   Form a loose loop

   Use the doubled line to make an overhand loop.

   Pass the bight once

   Take the closed fold through the opening for the first pass.

   Pass it through again

   Carry the same fold around and through the same opening a second time.

   Draw out the loop

   Pull the closed loop out while keeping the doubled strands together.

   Dress the knot

   Moisten fishing line and pull the loop against both free parts. Keep the two passes aligned.
