Start the first end
Leave enough material for a loose overhand knot and a generous tail.

Make the first loop
Bring the first end across its standing part.

Thread the overhand
Pass behind the loop and through its opening.

Leave the knot loose
Keep room alongside the entire first path for the second end.

Bring in the second end
Approach the first tail from the opposite direction.

Retrace the first tuck
Feed the second end beside the first, following it backward through the opening.

Follow the whole loop
Continue beside the first strand around its turn and crossing.

Bring out the second tail
Finish beside the other standing part. The two tails exit at opposite ends.

Dress the retraced overhand
Draw the standing parts apart and align the paired paths. In webbing, keep both straps flat and leave long tails.
