Leave a long enough tag for two eye passages and five wraps.

Thread the eye and leave a small loop above it.

Pass through again
Take the tag through the eye a second time in the same direction.

Begin the turns
Wind upward around the standing line.

Complete five wraps
Arrange five turns in one row.

Tuck through both small loops
Return to the eye and pass through both loops left by the eye passages.

Bring out the tag
Leave the tag outside both loops.

Seat the Trilene
Moisten suitable line and draw the wraps toward the eye. Both eye-side loops must retain the tag.
