Join unequal fishing lines by winding the thinner line around a fold in the heavier one.
Also known as Albright special.
The Albright places the heavier line in a fold and uses the thinner line to bind that fold. The thin end first enters the opening, lies back alongside it, then winds toward the folded end. The wraps enclose both heavy legs and the returning thin section.
The final exit is the key check: the thin tag comes back through the fold and leaves on the same face as its standing part. An exit on the opposite face changes the arrangement. The lesson uses ten wraps, but the appropriate count depends on the materials and diameters.

- Connect fishing lines with substantially different diameters.
- Join a leader to a heavier line using a folded core.
Keep in mind
Wraps must grip the chosen materials without crossing. Moisten where appropriate, seat gradually, and follow line-specific guidance before trimming.
