Double Uni

Join two fishing lines with opposing Uni knots.

Wrap count depends on the line. Seat each knot before drawing the pair together.

Step-by-step

Overlap two lines
Lay the two ends alongside each other, pointing in opposite directions.
Make the first loop
Fold the first tag end back to make a loop beside both lines.
Wrap the first end
Pass the first end around both lines and through its loop.
Complete six turns
Keep six turns in the same direction, then leave the tag pointing down.
Make the second loop
Form a loop with the other tag end on the opposite side.
Wrap the other end
Wind the second end around both lines and through its own loop.
Complete the second Uni
Finish six turns and leave the second tag pointing up.
Inspect both Unis
The open view shows two opposed Uni knots. Moisten real line, snug each knot, then pull the standing lines apart to bring them together.
